I’m experiencing the same sort of wake up call in the UK right now Erin. We are LOVING it here, so much to do, even in a cold, stormy January. I never fully appreciated just how fabulous, ancient and beautiful this country is when I lived here. We should all try and be tourists at home a bit more, shouldn’t we? Ax

I can’t wait till they finish all the waterpark. It is pricey, but my kids found the jumping pillow so worth it 🙂 Now Rottnest is a pricey place. Lived in Perth my whole life and been once I think, cheaper to fly to Bali!

Crazy Perth people have no idea how beautiful it is do we? Thanks Alyson for including our link as well 🙂

D has good taste 🙂 I’m always on the look out for learning experiences with a “hands-on” approach for the kiddies, so the AQWA looks fab. Thanks!

Admission is $33 for adults, kids 4 and under are free. So a bit pricey. We have a 2.5 year old and it was a bit full -on for him. I reckon age 4 and up is appropriate. It’s great because it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere– but it’s 15 min from Swan Valley and all its attractions. I can recommend the Bullsbrook Shetland Park Chalets for accommodation. Call them (kerry) direct and negotiate a price. They are willing.
I should also say that Rottnest is my favorite bit of Perth. Accommodation is booked solid during school holidays though, so be prepared. Rottnest is perfect for a biking family. There is nothing better than riding around this desolate island at your leisure, exploring and feeling a million miles away from civilization.
