I love this post, so detailed. I hate MSG so that part is especially useful for me.
Tried Sao Mai restaurant based on your recommendation and it was nice. Food was good. They even serve boiled potatoes, nice change for the kids.

I think we had that in Danang, but never did in Hoi An, no. We googled for best restaurants in Danang and tried this place with the at the table barbecue but it took forever and we left starving. Not fans! I guess it’s better in Hanoi!

Have fun! I know, and nowhere has aircon because everything is open plan. The only two places I know of with aircon are Dingo Deli and the Ganesh Indian. Mia coffee were putting in aircon upstairs but I never saw it working. I DO recommend Mia 🙂
