Hi Sally. We’ve always either just got tuk tuks on the street, zero problem, or for long trips, sometimes with overnight stays, used travel agencies, there are loads on almost every street. If you’re staying at Templeberg, how about getting in touch with them and asking if they have a driver they can recommend, they live there, I’m sure they’d know somebody. If you want a taxi from the airport there is a fixed rate govet approved taxi rank within the arrivals lounge.

I’m travelling alone and feeling a bit daunted as well as hugely excited. What’s the best way to find a private reliable driver? I’m in Sri Lanka for 12 nights and have a list of places I must visit and of things to do. Thank you for sharing your experiences ????
