It would have been perfectly fine in our checked baggage Kimberly.

Good thing you got it back 🙂 Would it be best to send it as a package or not?

Once while travelling with a friend who enjoys sculpting and who had found a great deal on modeling clay, officials were surprised to unzip his bag and find what looked exactly like clumps of C4. Another time we forgot we’d packed a ship’s compass purchased at an antique store in carryon — and it was housed in a brass container…which made everyone think we had a bomb, from the way they reacted to the scanner.
Good times.
I’m really impressed you were able to get that toy back. I thought it would be gone for good.

However Hong Kong security was the ONLY airport in 9 airports that took any interest whatsoever in my son’s adrenalin auto-injector! They made note of our seat numbers and gave a note to the captain and crew telling them we had it.
