We don’t usually pre book, but as you’re going to the big tourist islands, with a baby, you may need to. We pre book BKK too now, we never used to, but we have a few favourite places to stay and we make sure we can get them in advance. Use Agoda, they’re great for Asia, there are lots of links on my site and we’ve had great experiences with getting refunds and booking changes with them.

Did you mean Ko Phangan or the Full Moon Party? Ko Phangan is lovely, but the parties are no place for a baby, stay on the other end of the island, you’ll be miles away, you’ll hardly notice, a few extra people arrive, that’s all.

Appreciate your prompt reply reschedulling my trip and skipping koh phangan. Planning phi phi and krabi instead. Hope thats a more relaxing and better option for 6 months old baby and for us as well.
