We went in the cafe to buy water afterwards, we were staying in a very nice hotel ( The Paradise at Kandalama) and had to get back for dinner 🙂

But then we met this 70 year old woman who had made it and was delighted. LUCKILY !!! I made it to the top (although we got there around noon and the sun was blazing hot – I was mad at our taxi driver for that, but still ) I wasn’t even out of breath.
Did you go to the museum ? We did ! (after the climb) We thought it was good, informative, no crowds … we loved it. The only thing we relented was the on-site-catering. Better ask your driver to take you to a nice place. The cafetaria at Sigiriya is dirty, has no fresh food … worthless! There are plenty of nice places in the very near vicinity !

Yep, this was our third visit and the 1st time we’ve seen it crowded. The first two times it was very quiet, I think one in November or December and one in February after our wedding. Above was also February, but we were late.
