Hi Cassie. I’m actually in Kuching here today. No, I didn’t find it very hard. I’m 53, Ian is considerably younger. He’s not as trekking – fit as me and I had come back from Everest Base Camp 6 months before. But that first day, walking from the drop off to the village it was pretty uphill, hot and it rained. But it was less than half a day of walking, a few hours. It can be slippery though.

Hi! I’m just looking into this on Ian’s website. I hope you don’t mind I just had a quick question!
I like jungle walks and trekking, but I enjoy a solid 5/10 difficulty not 10/10 difficulty lol. I’m not a huge fan of tough mountain hikes – I’m fit but it’s still a holiday!
Do you think this might be too strenuous? I contacted Ian directly for further info but let me know your honest opinion 🙂
I loved your trip so much I’m trying to replicate it!

In reply to Glynis Johns. Hi Glynis, it was Lima Tujoh, but I haven't been able to find it on any of the booking engines, maybe they are closeds. That street and area are a very good place to stay and there are lots of options at multiple price points. It was a small street off Carpenter Street in the Old Town, just outside China Town and a short distance from the river.
