Thanks for commenting. Because you commented I just noticed huge parts of this page missing. I’m not sure what you think is incorrect here, it’s all personal experience, but yes, things have changed globally. Where we are currently prices have gone through the roof and there are no flights at all. For instance, daily car hire has gone from $20-$30 to, this week, $190 for one day. Now that’s what I call a rip off! And no opportunity to negotiate on price, ever. We also have mosquitos like you wouldn’t believe. We just don’t go outside around sunrise and sunset. We’ve used to it, been in the tropics at least 15 years now. I’ll be putting the missing parts of this post back today, how odd. There are over 1000 pages on this website, keeping every page maintained can be tricky. Hopefully Sri Lanka will be open for travellers very soon and incomes will be restored. I really feel for the small business owners globally who have lost their tourists. Hard times.

Thank you. Expect prices to be higher now, I;ve also just heard that there has been demolition work in Mirissa lately and it’s a mess. Check Agoda, see if the prices I mention above are still similar.

My family (Mum, Dad, 2 teen boys) will be in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks in January… we like to do budget travel too.. well it’s what we can afford, but also a better way to visit a country in our opinion.. It’s been 5 years since our last trip. Travelfish was our go to website but they don’t do Sri Lanka so we are reliant on other places… like your site. 🙂 So just a thank you from me.
