I am a Sri lankan and telling you the truth Sri Lanka is a nice place to visit but even me if they know I have come from a foreign country they will find a way to cheat.specially those 3 wheeler driveres.try uber.you can pay in advance they will still try to take your money if you are a female traveling alone becarefulsome men are real perverts.

Hey I will be arriving at airport around 7 in the evening. Can I get a night train to kandy? And how I can get to the railway station , not using a taxi

In reply to fer. Absolutely! Just don't exit the terminal. But it's not comfortable, there are dividers between the chairs. I don't know if they'd let you sleep on the floor ( or if you'd want to). Actually that's a really good idea, maybe next time we'll just plan to sleep in the airport when we arrive in Sri Lanka.Most flights seem to arrive late at night.
