Coasteering

Adrenaline-filled Coasteering along the beautiful rugged coast of West Wales!

We provide Coasteering sessions in West Wales for all ages and abilities. Looking for a half day's activity to get the blood pumping? - then you're in the right place.

Coasteering is a mixture of swimming and climbing around the coastline to gain access to inlets, caves and coves that are otherwise inaccessible. To add to the fun we throw in some jumps that will make you shudder, and we play in some natural features to really get the adrenaline pumping. If you are lucky you will get to see some of the local wildlife - from seals and dolphins to jellyfish and sea birds. We offer coasteering close to Cardigan and St davids to give you some amazing venues to choose from.

Family Coasteering sessions

Our "Family Coasteering" sessions are for those ages 8 and up. These Coasteering sessions are more appropriate for family groups with younger thrill-seekers. The jumps tend to be a little lower and the distance to swim a little shorter. You don't need a child to join in - anyone can join in on these Family Coasteering sessions. You might even learn a little more about the coastline while going at the group's pace. We run Coasteering sessions across many locations, including the famous "Blue Lagoon" at Abereiddy, the stunning "Witches' Cauldron" near Moylegrove in Ceibwr bay (Cardigan) and the more tranquil Aberporth, along with a few less-travelled routes.

Adult Coasteering sessions

Looking to test yourself? These "Adult Coasteering" sessions are for the thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies. During these Coasteering sessions you'll be jumping off the higher jumps and getting swirled around by the waves and swell. You will get to see parts of the coastline you wouldn't have dared to go without an Instructor.

Questions and answers

Can we do Coasteering in the rain?

Yes - Coasteering in the rain is fine, personally I love heavy rain when swimming in water watching the rain drops land and erupt.

What happens if the sea is really rough?

Rough seas can make the coasteering more fun in most cases, however it is really rough we will contact you prior to the session to make alternative arrangements. This could be a different location which is protected from the rough sea or an alternative activity if they sea really is unsafe to be in.

Can we change our Activities?

Yes, you would just need to let us know in advance, and the more notice you give us the more flexible we can be.

Can I wear contact lenses or glasses?

Yes: people do where contact lenses coasteering and say its ok but I don't where them so just go on others word.

Glasses can be worn but its best to have a leash attached. If they fall off or get broken we can not be held responsible. If they are important to your driving think wisely before taking on session.

What group sizes can you accommodate?

Large and small groups can be accommodated for coasteering sessions please contact us for more information.

Do we need to be able to swim?

No it is unnecessary for any of our coasteering sessions.

We provide you with enough floating kit that all you need to do is move your arms to move around kind of like making snow angels.

Do you have equipment to fit all sizes?

Yes - we have a wide range of sizes in all of our equipment. Before you head out on your activities our coasteering instructors will ensure that all equipment fits correctly and they'll make any necessary changes.

What if I have a medical condition?

Our Instructors are trained to deal with different situations, so we can easily accommodate people with diabetes, asthma, mild epilepsy, autism and more. Please contact us if you have any questions. If you require a waterproof container to bring medication please let us know in advance.

We can also provide Educational Coasteering sessions - our Instructors are brimming with knowledge on the local area. If you're looking for Coasteering to be specific to Geography, Geology, PE, History, Outdoor Education or even Environmental Studies, we can accommodate this. These sessions are about getting you into locations that you can study really well, and we will go at the group's pace to allow for pictures to be taken.

Since we use the natural outdoors as our playground, 'mother nature' provides us with the right conditions. All of our Instructors are qualified to run Coasteering sessions in accordance with the conditions and group's ability.
