You see, it's not considered socially acceptable for us guys to carry purses, so we've got to find ways to pack a lot into our pockets :)
I can't begin to count the number of times, or the number of ways, this thing has come in handy. Got a screw? No problem. Got a hex nut? No problem. Got a box or some god-aweful plastic packaging? No problem. Got some random frickin' thing you have to pry loose? No problem. Got a new belt to cut to length? No problem. Have the sudden need to write something down? Grab the pen! Have to press something in, but can't manage to do it barehanded? Put the thing on the floor, and push down on it with the flat, red face of the knife. Have the sudden need to cut out a coupon? No problem. Got time to kill and want to trim your nails? No problem. Got a beer to enjoy after your hard work with your handy tool, and need an opener? No problem :)
I've even used this to assemble aerospace hardware, and had people requesting me to come over so they can use this knife, because they couldn't find another tool in the entire plant to do the job. I've searched and searched and searched, and this is the most thoroughly useful general purpose multi-tool you can have in your pocket.
Things I wish were different/better:
* They should have a tiny Phillips screw driver.
* The Phillips screw driver they have, has the tip blunted quite a lot, making it less useful for some smallish screws, forcing you to use the tip of a blade or something instead. They didn't used to blunt the tip to anywhere near this extent.
* I wish the metric ruler had hash marks for millimeters, or a mark every 2mm, or something.
* The pliers/wrench/wire cutter thing is a little weak. I used it once to try to cut a solid wire, and ever since it's been a lot more sticky than it was before.
* The spring on the scissors should be a little stronger. At this point, I sometimes have to manually reset it to the 'open' position every time I make a cut
* The tweezers... The metal is so thin, that you really can't grip anything too hard - if you try to, the metal will just bend 'outward', which will tend to eject what you are trying to hold. Also, they just cut the metal sheet square, so you don't have much of a precision griper at the end you're picking at things with. In short, this is not a good replacement for 'real' tweezers, and more likely than not will not help you in picking a foreign object out of your foot. I've actually found myself using the pliers in this knife in place of the tweezers.
