I work in a residential treatment center for children with trauma and I use UNO at work as a quick way to help kids calm down or get distracted from negative emotions. I've give it out to kids as a reward all the time. I swear it should come with a label that says it's approved by the American Psychological Association because everyone I know who works in mental health uses UNO. It's a great game. Fun and easy for kids to learn and feel successful.

The original UNO is awesome but this one is even better... as the customizable wild cards we used, Double turn (best card especially when you have 2 cards left), Everyone takes Two cards (except the person using the card), Take 4 cards (if you draw the card you can give it to anyone as oppose to the regular 4 wild card where the person following you has to take the 4, Shift with a chair drawn on the card (which means after you exchange cards in the order that the game is going you switch seats with the person that has the least cards, a regular Shift card where everyone exchanges cards again in the order the game is going.

• The Story Behind Power Uno •
Do you remember back in the days of college when you needed to study but you’d do everything but study? Yes, that’s how Power Uno was born. Two guys decided that they would rather take fun games that they grew-up with and add some more rules for fun and excitement. We hope you enjoy the game and have a few laughs too!

• The Rules •
- Regular Uno rules. Except the scoring aspect. No blank cards. No reneging.
- Whenever a “7” is played — the last person to hit the deck gets a 2 card penalty.
- Whenever a “0” is played — the last person to hit their forehead gets a 2 card penalty.
- “Same color, same suit” — they can “cut in line” and play the card to the deck. The individuals who were suppose to go all get skipped and the concession starts from the person who played the, “same color, same suit”.
- “+4 Wild” or “+2” — When you play a “+4 Wild” or “+2” card on top of each other, the last person who can’t play the “+4 Wild” or “+2” gets the full amount of the value of the cards.
- If you play a card out of turn — 2 card penalty. This rule is subjective and usually comes into play when it doesn’t have to do with a “reverse” card.
- Shuffle and deal — Each person shuffles and deals the cards at the beginning of the game. Once everyone around the circle has shuffled and dealt the cards, the seating arrangement changes. This rule is subjective.
- Asking for help — If the individual can’t play a card from their hand and they choose not to draw from the deck, they can ask for help from another player. Be careful though, the helping players have the opportunity to lie or tell the truth when they help. They can help by giving a card that works for their turn or they can give them a card that doesn’t work.
- Taking cards from the deck — if the individual can’t play a card from their hand or if they won’t accept help from another player, they have the opportunity to take a card from deck. They are required to pull a card from the deck until they have a card that they can play. This could mean the individual takes 1 card or has the risk of taking 16 cards.

Well, it's Uno, everyone knows and loves it. Here I thought I was set to win with my strategic card playing skills and decent luck of acquiring draw 4s or wilds, and then they added a new switch deck card. I almost never get it and my nieces and nephews always think it's a hoot to give me their ginormous stack of numbered cards while stealing my stack of tres which almost always includes a wild. 😂😂

We love uno in this house and when my nieces and nephews come to stay, we can play for honestly hours. Uno is #1!!... Literally. 😉

Classic game. It should be in any parent/children game night. Easy rules so even younger children catch on quickly. We have a 11 year old and she likes this game. I think game night is important as it gives you an opportunity to really get in some important life lessons. Like how to be a gracious winner and a competitive loser. When my daughter and I play we both play to win. When she losses she vows to get me next time. When she wins she does a little dance.

There appear to be a couple of variations to this pack of Uno. Look carefully at the picture on the front of the box. I have both the cheaper, non genuine pack and the genuine feeling and looking pack. I found that this set appears to be the better of the two. It has a much bigger and black shadow under the the word UNO and has the wild card pictured on the front of the box. I've included a picture of the two packs for reference.

I purchased these cards thinking i would get a genuine mattel pack of uno cards but instead i received a bootleg pack of cards. The colours were fading, there was no create your own wild cards and the overall quality of the cards was absolutely awful. Not happy at all.

Low, low quality card stock. Cards easily creased. Cards are smooth but adhere to one another making them hard to deal (even the so-called Deluxe versions of this game aren't finished properly, no variant on sale has embossed cards). Poor quality printing with variable colours. Quality of the instruction leaflet sub-photocopier.

Compare any deck of Austrian made Piatnik cards to appreciate the breathtaking inferiority here. Uno is fundamentally a great game but it is being ruined by the manufacturer's endless pursuit of margin and profits. As has been the case with so many games in our household, we end up chucking the modern version in the bin and buying it again second-hand from eBay. Back in the 80s and 90s the accountants weren't in charge and the games were made to last.

Poorly printed & misprinted cards in my deck.

Unfortunately the deck I received had about 25% of the cards poorly or misprinted. The game is still playable (barely) but the cards are in very poor condition. I am sure this is a faulty batch but Amazon is not giving me an option to return the cards for another set. Would not recommend.
