Bought this with Lightning Deal so the price is good. If I had to paid the regular price, I think there are other better choices than Lenovo. Lenovo 320S has always been a good all around laptop and is marked up accordingly. For the Lenovo fan, this is nice computer but the 1TB Sata drive is a little slow. I switched mine over to a 275GB SSD and is much happier. Other things that can be better is there is only 1 memory slot - so cannot upgrade memory easily - though 8GB is adequate for the i5. I cannot find a slot for M.2 type drive - which I had that so I can keep the 1TB spinner as storage and still have the speed of an SSD. Overall, cannot go wrong if you are a Lenovo fan and got it at the Lightning deal. Otherwise, look around and there are competitors that are more flexible and reasonable.

Got about 3 years of use out of this. The battery has gotten really bad in the last 6 months, holds less than 1 hour of charge. The fan just died yesterday, so now I’m in the market for another laptop since this one will eventually fry itself.

Overall it was a decent laptop while I lasted. It booted up pretty quickly, which I appreciated.

DIED 9 MONTHS AFTER RECEIVING IT

Computer work fine for 9 months, than hard disk had problems. They repaired it and 10 days later it died again. They repaired it again and it worked for 1 more day and it died again for the third time. Brought it back again for repair and they still have it. I wanted a replacement computer/credit to get a different model. But they have the computer now for 7 week and it going out of warranty. I will be luck to get a working computer let alone a replacement. DON'T BUY FROM THIS MANUFACTURER. Unit was being worked on for over 2 months. My Idea is not to buy one or another one.

Bought this laptop, and realized the keyboard backlight doesn't work. Opened it up, found that the keyboard backlight ribbon is damaged. How did it pass QC? I guess we'll never know. I am now wary of Lenovo products

Decent laptop with strengths and weaknesses:

Pros:
- Lightweight for a 15.6" screen laptop. If you like a larger screen, this is a good travel PC.
- Sharp, high resolution screen.
- Midrange processor, more than adequate for most non-gaming applications.
- Discreet graphics chip - GeForce 940MX is lower end, but likely better than the Intel CPU graphics.
- Large keys on the nicely backlit keyboard.
- Minimal unnecessary software preloaded.
- Good size hard drive (1TB nominal) and midrange amount of RAM (8 GB).

Cons:
- Large keys on the keyboard prevent having a built-in numeric keypad, like on my 15.6" screen ASUS laptop.
- No optic drive. This wouldn't be as much of a con if the computer had more USB ports, but it only has 3, and one of these is a USB-C which to me is useless because I don't have any peripherals which plug into USB-C. So it really has only 2 useable USB ports.

This PC is pretty pedestrian except for the high screen resolution and low weight, features which I'm sure contribute heavily to the higher than expected price. If it had 1-2 more USB ports, I would have given it 5 stars.

The IdeaPad 320S is a sleek, lightweight laptop that looks great and has an impressive performance. Newly redesigned, it offers 8th generation Intel core I processing with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX discrete graphics.packs a processing punch. The newly redesigned 320S offers 8th Gen Intel Core i processing, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX discrete graphics, and FHD IPS resolution.

While not equipped for heavy-duty gaming, it’s quite responsive and suitable for light gaming, video entertainment and such with its 8Gb of RAM. I’m using it as a laptop for writing and video entertainment and find it more than suitable for all my computer needs. While it has a “brushed aluminum” look, the shell is actually plastic. I like the backlit screen and the keyboard has a nice touch, even for arthritic fingers. The screen clarity is excellent, as is the sound from its Dolby audio and Harmon speakers. The hard drive is a robust 1000Gb.

In brief, it’s powerful enough for my laptop needs, is lightweight and sleek. I prefer no touchscreen and this Ideapad 320 suits me to a T.
