I'm using this drone for a week and I'm still surprising how stable this little fella is. Everything is easy and predictable with that drone, quality of pictures and videos are amazing. Max height I tried is 100 meters on some windy beach, it showed himself great!

UPDATE: after one month of usage I started getting a gimbal overload error. There was no crash or any hard landings. I was also trying to do gimbal calibrations but it freezed between 80% and 89%. I didn't buy DJI Care Refresh so I opened DJI repair case and sent it (to LA area). Long story short I've got my drone back in a week (I think it's just a new one because it was to quick to fix it). DJI hasn't charged me, so I'm a still satisfied customer.

Disappointed with Mavic Air

With less than an hour of total flight time , Mavic Air shows message “chip overheated” .
It only run couple minutes each time and shows and stops with same overheated chip warning.
Will contact Seller/DJI but really dissapointed at this time as I could not use it on a trip.

I've never flow a drone and was admittedly a little intimidated at first. Within minutes of my first flight, I realizes just how easy it was to fly. Each time I fly I get better and better where I don't have to look at the joysticks to remember directions of flight. Great picture and video quality and I've yet to change any of the camera settings except from 1080p to 4K. Easy to upload video and pictures to my PC and post to YouTube. It is all so simple!

Ok this is a amazing drone, that being said I only have one issue. The drone is hard to see, I only think that's because I'm coming from Autel which is bright orange. Other than that its great, I would suggest 1 or 2 more batteries. Super easy to fly and great for real estate video.

Insanely easy to fly. This is so easy to fly it’s futuristic, no really science fiction-like in its capabilities. I am stoked about the future. I can see the average person with no training entering a human scale quad and flying to their destination in perfect safety based on the intuitive technology available even this hobby quad.
Back to the quad. The FPV video is incredible. I did not expect such clarity. I record on an sd card onboard the quad but I rarely look at that video because the video it sends to my phone is hi-res and static free.

Great, packs up really small. Fast 40mph+. In sports mode good fun just to fly without photography.
The only downside, the range is not great, there is no way this will fly even one km in the UK where the WiFi is limited (due to EU regs) but still a great buy. Plus legally you have to have sight of your drone, its small and often hard to see

It's difficult to put into words how much I love this drone. DJI have a deserved reputation for the outstanding quality of their products. All I can say is it is well deserved. The video output from this is rock solid and as good as I can ever foresee needing - up to 30fps in 4K or 120fps in 1080p. There are so many great things about this it would take an age to enumerate them all. But here are a few: quality, portability - will fit in a decent sized coat pocket, can fly it using your phone, flies beautifully, quieter than a lot of other drones, intelligent flight mode avoids objects in its path, follow mode, tap fly, cinema mode . . check out some of the videos on YouTube if you are thinking about buying one. Being a wifi flyer (although the range in ideal conditions is quoted as 4kms - remember that flying out of line of sight is either illegal or not recommended depending upon your location) - this is not an issue in real world use. It's not absolutely perfect, but it is close enough. Simply the best all round personal drone on the market. Not cheap, but worth every penny if you like flying drones and want to record excellent video. A word of warning - you will need a decent spec phone (or tablet with adapter) to use it to its full potential. I have a Xiaomi 3, which is one of the phones on DJI's recommended list and it works well. Extra batteries are a good idea, but not essential. The first time you fire it up you will probably get through most of one battery updating the firmware. This can be done through your phone internet connection, or you can plug the drone into your PC and update using DJI Assistant 2. After that it's just ENJOY!

What can I say that hasn't already been said. I love this wasp( girlfriends nickname) the ability to film slow motion to 1080p and upto 4k video and an amazing stills camera the drone has very impressive features including quick shot modes, hand gesture and obsticle avoidence. I fly responsibly and have always kept in line of sight flight. But feel confident in the built in safety to take it out over water and buildings(with permission), for the price you get so much for your money and i've bought extra batteries and accessories. And dont worry about forgetting your memory card, inbuilt 8gb of internal storage.

Fantastic, but one big flaw for me

I bought this drone in early July 2018, and from the minute I opened the box I was amazed by the size of - so compact and very well put together. I won't go into detail, as it has been covered many times before, suffice to say that the drone packs an incredible amount of technology into a tiny device.

However, I returned the drone in August 2018 due to a critical issue with the camera - the whole upper right quadrant of the video frame was in soft focus. This a well known and oft-reported issue on the DJI forums, and the only potential fix is swapping out for another one and hoping it doesn't have the same issue. If you are lucky enough to get one without this issue (it seems to be a bit hit-and-miss) then it is absolutely worth keeping.

Something else to note - if you have an Android phone, the DJI software is a bit... buggy. The iOS version is perfect however.
